Pastor Georgia Hill

Georgia Hill is the founding pastor of LifeChurch Riverside, a new church plant within the Evangelical Covenant Church’s ever-expanding LifeChurch network in metro Detroit. Pastor Hill is inspired by Ephesians 4:12 that talks about, “equipping the saints for the work of the ministry and building up the body of Christ.”

Georgia was ordained in August of 2000 at Plymouth United Church of Christ in Detroit, Michigan, where she served for nineteen years as an associate pastor. During that time she led Christian Education for adults and youth, founded the Revelation Dance Ministry, created Tea and Time Together, a monthly Women’s Bible Study, and taught a weekend Bible study. For close to fifteen years, she led groups of high school students on college tours to historically black colleges and ivy league universities.

Georgia earned a B.A. from Harvard Radcliffe College; a J.D. from Howard University Law School; a Master of Divinity degree, and Doctor of Ministry degree from McCormick Theological Seminary. She is currently an adjunct faculty member at Wayne State University, and also serves as a mentor to Doctor of Ministry students at the Ecumenical Theological Seminary.

Pastor Georgia has the heart of a missionary, and has been blessed to study in Israel, Egypt, and Syria, and has participated in mission trips to Tanzania, South Africa, Liberia, Mexico and Panama.

Before being called to the ministry, Georgia worked as an attorney.
